HON Janet Hale currently serves as Director at Deloitte & Touche. She spent three years at DHS, where she was responsible for the integration of 22 government agencies and 180,000 employees into the department when it was formed. She also was in charge of the financial, information technology, workforce, procurement, and administrative services of the $40 billion department.
Before joining DHS, Hale was assistant secretary for budget, technology, and finance at the Department of Health and Human Services. Her career also includes time at the Office of Management and Budget, the Transportation and Housing and Urban Development departments, and the House.
Hale earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Ohio and a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
